Book Review: After You

After You by Jojo Moyes

I can always count on Jojo Moyes when I need a truly excellent book.

I loved Me Before You. It’s one of my favorite books of all time, but I was skeptical about a sequel to it. I thought that it would be a Hallmark style romance. But I guess I forgot what Moyes is not afraid to do.

She is not afraid to show what’s real. This is not sunshine and rainbows and it shouldn’t be. Moyes shows the real struggles of Louisa and how she truly felt. No holds barred.

Once again, Moyes rips your heart open and tears you apart in the best possible way. This was the embodiment of that and was just as fantastic as its predecessor. The characters we meet are just as amazing as the returning ones and the plot is once again spot on.

Moyes is a master at her craft and I hope to read all of her books in my lifetime (:
